Library Week Library #1

Every Semester we spend a week visiting libraries. We call this week Library Week. This year we are doing our visits over the 2 week period Amy has off work. I have asked Emma to report on each library as we visit them.

Here is our first installment . . .

Here is Emma's report:
Name of Library: St. Charles Library. St. Charles, IL.

Something I liked: I liked all the Animal Ark Books they had.

One thing I didn't like: They didn't have one of my favorite books, Bunnies in the Bathroom.

A book I read while I was there: 2 Minute Mysteries by Donald Sobol author of Encyclopedia Brown.

Dad asked me to ask the Librarian a question. Lucy said she would, so I followed her with my
notebook.

Lucy: Knock Knock

Librarian: Who's There?

Lucy: Emma

Librarian: Emma Who?

Lucy: Emma Kayrene (My Middle Name)

Narnia Part I

We have been studying Medieval times this year as well as I have been teaching some Narnia classes at the co-op. Charlie made this castle last week and while it's not neccescarily Narnian it does have that Narnia feel to it.

My Garden by Emma

I have 500 magic seeds.I,m going to plant the Webkinz bunnies seed,the Webkinz dogs seed,the Webkinz cats seed,the Webkinz birds seed,the Webkinz fish seed,and the Webkinz rodents seed.
(bunnies are not rodents.) Now I'll spray the magic water on the seeds.Wow!Look at all the flowers!Well...Sometimes they don't work.I,m going in side.The flowers are blooming! Look at all those Webkinz! They will bloom once every month. I'll give some Webkinz away, I'll keep some to play with, and sell the rest at my special Webkin'z store.

If there was a law that you couldn't have green, we would not be able to breathe because there would be no plants.Plants give us oxygen.Animals need oxygen too.Even if they could breathe with out oxygen, they wouldn't have anything to eat.Even carnivores need plants because they eat plant eating animals or herbivores.We couldn't live because we eat animals.The world wouldn't be as beautiful.What would we where for ST.Patrick's Day?!?

If green was illegal, there would be no oxygen. Blue and yellow would not be able to get together. No one could live!

My Samwitch by Emma

Emma: Balony again! Why doesn't mom choose liver sausage insted?

Samwitch: Hey! Don't insult me!

Emma: Sorry! I thought you weren't listening. But why do you just have to be balony?

Samwitch: Hey! Don't blame me for being a different kind! Besides, I thought you liked balony.

Emma: My sister does but I don't.

Samwitch: Oh! I thought she liked liver sausage.

Emma: She doesn't but I do.

Samwitch: Oh then I got mixed up! I'm sorry! Will you forgive me?

Emma: Yes, I forgive you. But tell Mom I like liver sausage, okay?

Samwitch: Do you mean you're not going to eat me?

Emma: Yep! I have extra money for cafateara food.

Samwitch: Yea!

Emma: Good bye!

Samwitch: Good bye!

THE NEXT DAY ...

Emma: Good, liver sausage! I don't have any more money.

Samwitch: Oh Man!

Emma: Well good bye!

Samwitch: Good Bye!

I am a Snowball by Charlie

I am a snowball. There are thousands of snowflakes in me. I was in one snowball fight. I knocked a hat off!

I,m a little snow flake falling down,
in the country or the town.

I think The Heffalump Movie should be picked for best kids movie. I will tell you why.

My Uncle is Silly By Emma

One day my uncle Joe was questioned what do you want to be when you grow up? (He was only 3!) He answered a tomato.

"You can't be a tomato!" my mom said.

So, Uncle Joe said "Okay, I will be a cow!"
